The blogging community, especially the mom bloggers, has been very supportive throughout my journey as a newbie in the blogosphere. Toward the end of September, I got nominated for the 2017 Liebster Award. Now, I received another nomination – the 2017 Blogger Recognition Award.
I have to thank Kristenne of Misis Blog, who happens to be a fellow Pinay mom blogger, for the nomination and for this opportunity to connect with even more bloggers. I’m happy to have found someone from Cebu who also blogs about motherhood. Kristenne is also new to motherhood, which is awesome since that means we can learn from each other. Her blog, which I have to say is really beautiful, clean and easy to navigate, btw, is all about being a wife and a work-at-home mom. Do check her out!

- Give a shout out to the blogger who nominated you. Don’t forget to link to their blog.
- Share a brief story about your blog origins.
- Give 2 pieces of advice to new bloggers.

- Comment on each of the 15 blogs, letting them know that you have nominated them. Share the link to your post.
My Blog Story
We already own a viral-niche site so I already have a background on how to set up a website. Then I thought, why shouldn’t I make my own blog where I can talk about my everything — our precious boy? I went with it thinking it’s where I should document my journey as a motherhood. I may not write like a pro writer but I love to write. This is what I do best. So here I am, blogging.
I started in 2016 but only continued with it for a couple of months until I got tired seeing there’s no improvement in the numbers. But sometime in August, I started writing again and I got inspired to write more after I found a “tribe.” What I love about blogging is seeing comments from fellow moms. It feels great to have someone read your blog and say something good and that fuels me to keep blogging.
Advice to New Bloggers
I’m fairly new to blogging so I would still like to read more advice from seasoned bloggers. I’m not an expert but I do know that: 1) You should not give up blogging even if you don’t see great numbers. The fruits of your labor will soon be reaped but do know that it takes time. I had advice from bloggers that it really does take time to let your blog – especially a personal blog – grow; and 2) Join groups that are related to your niche. As an introvert, I was shy about interacting even with people you don’t see. But I learned how to get used to the idea of commenting on blogs and sharing your thoughts. When you join groups, it’s what you do to help fellow bloggers and it can definitely help with your numbers.
