It’s the first day of December and I’ve decided to join a blog challenge called the Blogmas. I didn’t even know blogmas was a thing. I came across the term while reading posts on FB groups and when I looked it up, I just learned what it was.
Basically, blogmas is a challenge in which you will write and publish at least one blog post a day that’s related to Christmas (for vloggers, it’s vlogmas) for 25 days. I have to say this is a pretty big commitment, especially for me. I’m not really the most consistent person when it comes to pretty much anything – that includes my blog. But still, I want to take on this challenge for several reasons.
#1. To have consistent content for my blog
Normally, I post about 2 or 3 times a month. I wanted to do 1 or 2 posts a week but I couldn’t bring myself with a lot of things going on. But I need consistency for my blog because it helps, especially if it’s a helpful post that shares a lot of information.
#2. It’s fun
I think it’s fun to share helpful info about Christmas. I want to touch on my blog because I do enjoy when I write. And when I write, I do research as well and it’s an opportunity for me to learn new things. It’s a win-win, really.
#3. To prove to myself I can do it
As I’ve said, I’m not really good with being consistent especially with my blog. I could go on for weeks or even months without writing anything. I want to prove to myself that I can stick to daily posting. Daily posting may not be a wise strategy for bloggers, especially if content is not well-planned but what I’m going to do is something more than that. It would feel great if you set a goal and actually accomplish it.
